What makes a landing page convert
- Message match. The headline repeats the promise of the ad or search query that brought the visitor. If the ad says “same-day emergency plumber”, the page says it too — above the fold.
- One offer, one call to action. Every extra link is an exit. Navigation is minimal; the button says what happens next (“Get my quote”, not “Submit”).
- Specifics instead of adjectives. Prices or price ranges, timelines, what’s included, who does the work. “Fast and reliable” persuades nobody; “Install in 48 hours, 5-year warranty” does.
- Objections answered in order. Price, risk, effort, trust — each gets its own block before the visitor has to ask.
- A short form. Name, contact, one qualifying question. Every extra field costs leads.
- Speed. A page that takes four seconds to load on 4G loses a share of the clicks you already paid for.
